Tonight I had the best food of my life…no really. I’ve waited 4 years to go to Ippudo, which happens to be only 5 blocks from my apt. The 1.5 hr wait is more than worth it - especially since that’s more than enough time to finish off a bottle at your favorite neighboring bar. Here’s the run down:
Saki: the according to the waitress “easy to drink saki” was for lack of better words easy to drink. Bottle of that and you’re good to go.
Beer: Sapporo light - pretty standard
Pork Buns: No need to waste room in your stomach for these. Team Momafuku all the way.
Ribs: Un-be-liev-able. I just don’t get how some people don’t like pork. The meat fell right off the bone and was complimented by fresh orange marmalade and some spicy flakes.
Spicy miso ramen: Best ramen I’ve ever had. For a meal that’s considered “fast food” in Japan…this was the Big Mac Daddy of all time.
What topped the night off? The company! Nothing better than having a native Yuri right next to you enjoying the meal.
What not to do once you leave: respond to anyone screaming your name and 3rd avenue. I was way too inebriated for that…
This is my first St. Marks experience…we’re talking needles, needles and more needles. The word blood came up #justsayin.

365 days ago I woke up in Big Sur, California. As weird as this may sound, one of the best decisions of my life was to jump in a car with 3 dudes - two of whom I didn’t know, and drive up the west coast from la to sf. We had an incredible time filled with laughter, fun and way too much in and out burger, coupled with “thats what she said jokes,” (ugh, boys). I left my heart in Cali and I can’t wait to go back…just have to make a few detours on the way. You’ll just have to keep reading to find out where I’ll be…
If you ever wanted to marry me you should know…
that I think my life should play out exactly like a romantic comedy, I’m deathly allergic to cats and I try really hard to be neat and clean, but it’s really hard sometimes.
I’ve never been the girl who’s planned my wedding since the age of 5…or cared really about what dress to wear or how extravagant the decor should be. But if you ever wanted to get into the mind of 20 something year old female, I do have to say that trying that dress on at Bloomindale’s was straight up fun. With the blink of an eye I was able to envision standing at the alter with [insert hunky man] at a picturesque summer wedding in Vermont.
Moral of the story? Nothing more than the fact that I look damn good in white…

I could have been in this video because…
…I auditioned for it! Shout out to my good friend Khalia Frazier for choreographing this Gordon Voidwell video. Gordon Voidwell is near and dear to my heart - I was a back up dancer for him last year at Brooklyn Bowl, which truly fulfilled a childhood dream of mine. Too bad he (or his production crew/Wesleyan ALUM) didn’t cast me in this video! Yes, I’m bitter, but such is life. #mydaywillcome
